First Long Island Beer Festival will be May 12

The first ever Long Island Beer Festival will be held on Friday, May 12, at the Hilton Long Island Hotel in Melville, NY. Sponsored by Shoreline Beverage, the festival will benefit the North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, NY.

The festival will bring together hundreds of beers from the U.S. and abroad, together with area restaurants serving samples of their fare. "Like wine, today's handcrafted beers can be paired deliciously with gourmet foods," said Stuart Haimes, owner of Shoreline Beverage.

The event will also feature tutored tastings. Tickets can be purchased at www.longislandbeerfestival.com.
