Imports up 8.2% through November 2005

The most up-to-date information from the Beer Institute indicates that beer imports were up 8.2% through November 2005.

Mexican imports led the pack for the year, at 343,437,188 gallons, an 11.6% increase from 2004. Netherlands imports came in at number two, with 173,054,028--a 1.9% increase year-to-date.

Canadian imports dropped 2.8% year-to-date, to 86,869,818 gallons.

Rounding out the top six: German imports were up 6.3%, U.K. imports up 3.6%, and Irish imports up 37.3%.

Total imports for the year-to-date, as of November, came in at 738,001,356 gallons or 23,806,495 barrels.
