Conway's Irish Ale released

Modern Brewery Age,  Jan 10, 2005

Conway's Irish Ale, made by the Great Lakes Brewing Co. of Cleveland, OH, is described as a "ruby Red Irish Ale," deriving its maltiness from lightly toasted malts. The brand is named after Patrick Conway, the grandfather of Great Lakes Brewing Co. co-owners Patrick and Daniel Conway. The elder Conway was a Cleveland policeman who directed traffic for 25 years in the area where the Great Lakes Brewing Co.

brewery now stands. In the background of the label is a Celtic cross, highlighting the connection with St. Patrick's Day. Conway's Irish Ale contains alcohol by volume of 6.5%.
