Holy Moses White Ale

Modern Brewery Age,  Jan 24, 2005

The Great Lakes Brewing Co. of Cleveland, OH, has announced that its Holy Moses White Ale will now be available year round. Traditionally offered only as a springtime seasonal, Holy Moses has replaced the brewery's Locktender Lager to join the ranks as a regular year-round brew. "Holy Moses is a complex and heavily aromatic ale with fruit, spice and other floral characteristics, including orange peel, coriander and chamomile," says Kami Dolney, marketing coordinator for Great Lakes Brewing Co.

"Named after Cleveland's founding father Moses Cleaveland, Holy Moses has a cloudy golden appearance that comes from the wheat malts and unfiltered yeast that are typical of white ales. With an alcohol by volume of 5.4%, Holy Moses is light in body compared to other GLBC favorites, but fuller than most other wheat beers." Dolney also reports that Great Lake's seasonal Blackout Stout will also be available shortly.
