Sprint forms wireless business development team

A newly formed Sprint Cellular business development team will oversee Sprint's wireless communications efforts. The new team and its wireless business plan are "designed to be aggressive--not just in pursuing PCS [personal communications services] spectrum but in addressing market opportunities resulting from wireless technologies," said Dennis Foster, president and chief operating officer for Sprint's cellular and wireless division.

The team's responsibilities include planning and developing new and emerging wireless services and business opportunities, such as PCS; and developing advanced products within Sprint's cellular and wireless division. Dave Mangrum, former executive assistant to Sprint's local telecommunications division president, will lead the new group. (Sprint Cellular, 312/399-2828.)
