GlaxoSmithKline

Drug Store News,  Nov 3, 2003  by Michael Johnsen

GlaxoSmithKline launched a new advertising campaign to address the dramatic shift in smokers' attitudes toward quitting, the company reported.

The $20 million campaign to run through the end of the year speaks to smokers who have not yet decided to quit by illustrating the benefits of cessation.

"Our research has shown a decline in the number of smokers who are interested in quitting and plan to take action over the next six months, said Steve Burton, vice president of smoking control, strategic development and switch at GSK Consumer Healthcare.
