Acme looks to hit $5k in ADA fundraising effort

MALVERN, Pa. -- Acme Markets, which is a division of Albertson's, expects to raise approximately $5,000 in its third consecutive year supporting the Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey chapters of the American Diabetes Associations.

This year, 72 Acme Markets' pharmacies in the tri-state area helped raise money by selling ADA Pin Up Stars and by sponsoring a walking team of associates who participated in the American Diabetes Association's "America's Walk for Diabetes," a six-mile walk held in Ocean City, N.J., on Oct 6.

Acme operates 103 stores in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
