NEW YORK -- In the Aug. 15 issue of Forbes, Mary Sammons, president and chief executive officer of Rite Aid, ranked No. 27 on Forbes" list of "The 100 Most Powerful Women." The magazine stated that rankings are based on a composite of visibility (measured by press citations) and economic impact.
