Adams Respiratory Therapeutics

Adams Respiratory Therapeutics last month reported its first financial results as a publicly traded company, citing a 161 percent increase in net sales for its fiscal year 2005 ended June 30. The company generated $160.2 million in sales.

"Fiscal 2005 was a watershed year for Adams on many fronts, stated Michael J. Valentino, president and chief executive officer. "We launched our second product, Mucinex DM, initiated a major consumer advertising and marketing campaign for Mucinex [and] made significant strides in the quality and depth of retail distribution of [that] brand. In July, the company completed a successful public offering generating more than $117 million in equity funding.
