ZAANDAM, Netherlands -- Ahold has appointed John Rishton chief financial officer, effective Jan. 1.
Joost Sliepenbeek, chief accounting officer, has been serving as interim chief financial officer since Sept. 1, when Hannu Ryopponen left the company.
Rishton, a British national, has been chief financial officer at British Airways since 2001.
