MINNEAPOLIS -- Chris Bodine, CVS executive vice president of merchandising and marketing, has been appointed to MinuteClinic's board of directors.
Also appointed to the board was Beth Kaplan, co-founder and managing partner of venture capital firm Axcel Partners and one-time Rite Aid executive vice president of marketing and merchandising.
MinuteClinic, which supports retail-based in-store health care centers that serve patients with common illnesses, currently operates 40 such centers. MinuteClinic is gearing up for a national rollout with plans to expand to 10 new markets with nearly 100 health clinics by the end of the year.
In addition to its locations in Target, Cub Foods, corporate office buildings, college campuses and shopping centers, MinuteClinic has established clinics at four CVS stores in Minneapolis, one in the Greater Baltimore area, six in Nashville, Tenn., and seven in Indianapolis. The company is pursuing additional agreements with retailers in the coming months.
