Expansion-minded Pollo Campero picks agency to strengthen brand

DALLAS -- Chicken chain Pollo Campero has named Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods of Dallas as ad agency of record. Billings were not disclosed.

The agency will aid Campero USA Corp.--the U.S. affiliate of the Guatemala-based chain--and its franchisees in executing an integrated brand communications program to strengthen Pollo Campero's position in the quick-service category as it expands throughout the United States.

Dallas-based Campero USA signed an agreement in 2007 to begin opening units this year in Wal-Mart retail stores. Pollo Campero has 270 units in 11 countries, 38 of them in the United States.
