University of Delaware, Darden to host entrepreneur seminar

Newark, Del. -- The University of Delaware's Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management will host the Darden Restaurants Foundation entrepreneurship summit for students March 3-4 at the Courtyard Marriott hotel on campus here.

The two-day event, funded by a $100,000 grant from the Darden Foundation, is intended to interest minority students in establishing businesses or becoming franchisees in the hospitality and tourism industries. Participants will include business and hospitality students from nine historically black colleges and universities in the Mid-Atlantic as well as UD students and local high school students.
