Perkins adopts Tibersoft purchasing technology

Nation's Restaurant News,  Feb 19, 2007

Memphis, Tenn. -- Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, the 480-unit family-dining chain based here, will use Tibersoft Corp.'s IQ technology systemwide for acquiring, analyzing and reporting purchasing data and vendor contract compliance, according to the vendor.

Officials of Westborough, Mass.-based Tibersoft said Perkins chose to use IQ because of the results achieved using that technology by 138-unit sister chain, Marie Callender's Restaurant & Bakery.

James F. Barrasso, executive vice president of purchasing for Perkins and Marie Callender's Inc., parent of the two chains, said the enterprise generates $1.2 billion in sales, necessitating more than $300 million in purchases annually. Tibersoft's technology "will allow us to understand our business better," he said.
