Unified Brands unveils new connectionless steamers

Nation's Restaurant News,  Feb 19, 2007

Jackson, Miss. -- Unified Brands has introduced the Vortex100 Connectionless Steamer, designed for bulk cook-and-hold applications for varying menu demands. Offering increased water and labor savings, the rebate-qualified product is Energy Star- and NSF-approved.

The new product holds food safely at a lower temperature--155 degrees Fahrenheit--without the complexity of a vacuum system. Fully electronic controls replace the previous mechanical timer, and the steamer has a water management system similar to the one proven successful in Groen's heavy-duty steamers.
