NRA to showcase 25 winners of Kitchen Innovations Award at 2008 trade show

CHICAGO -- The National Restaurant Association has announced the 25 recipients of its 2008 Kitchen Innovations Award.

Each recipient will showcase its product in the interactive Kitchen Innovations, or KI, demonstration area at the NRA's Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show here at McCormick Place May 17-20.

The NRA said that this year's group of recipients addresses such operator needs as energy and water conservation, improving productivity, and food safety.

The award recipients are Advanced Composite Materials, Cambro Manufacturing Co., Campus Products Inc., Carter-Hoffman, Ecolab Inc., Electrolux Professional NA, Everpure LLC, Follett Corp., Frymaster LLC, Garland Commercial Ranges, Garland, Goslyn LP, Groen, Henny Penny Corp., Lincoln Foodservice Products, Market Forge Industries, OilFresh Corp., Paloma Industries Inc., Revolutionary Cooling Systems, San Jamar, Stellar Steam, Sterilox, Twirl Pasta Co., Unified Brands, and Vulcan.

An independent panel of multi unit operators and food facilities consultants selected the award recipients.

"This year's unprecedented number of innovations illustrates that foodservice equipment manufacturers have stepped up to meet the needs of the restaurant industry," said convention chairman William Anton, founder and chairman of Anton Airfood Inc. "The 2008 KI Award recipients provide solutions to the many challenges facing restaurateurs and culinary professionals, including utility costs, labor, quality and efficiency."
