YUM! franchisee Priszm makes back-office choice

VAUGHN, ONTARIO -- Priszm Limited Partnership, based here, a 484-unit Yum! Brands franchisee in Canada, has selected the MenuLink.NET back office system from Radiant Systems Inc.

Under the terms of the agreement, Priszm and Radiant, based in Alpharetta, Ga., will deploy MenuLink.NET to all Priszm KFC, Long John Silver's, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell stores.

Priszm chief financial officer Peter Walkey said, "Leveraging the advanced capabilities of the MenuLink system and the expertise of Radiant's consulting team to guide the implementation we anticipate meaningful reductions in our labor and food costs and significant improvements in our restaurants' operational efficiency."

MenuLink's labor management, food cost management and financial reporting capabilities are expected to help Priszm mangers better align labor and inventory with forecasted customer demand, manage overtime expenses and recognize causes of food cost variance, Radiant representatives said. The technology's centralized database and library of built-in reports will aid Priszm management in understanding and guiding restaurant performance on a store-level, regional or companywide basis, they added.
