McCormick & Schmick's unveils diner survey

Nation's Restaurant News,  Dec 10, 2007

PORTLAND, ORE. -- Shrimp is Americans' favorite seafood, according to a nationwide survey by McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants, a 73-unit chain based here. Of the 556 consumers surveyed, all of whom regularly eat seafood, 38 percent said shrimp was their favorite. Salmon was the favorite fish, at 21 percent. The survey also found that freshness beat out price and flavor as the most important factor when selecting seafood, with 39 percent of respondents selecting it. Price came in second at 26 percent and flavor at 25 percent.
