ClubCorp classic nets more than $1.6m for muscular dystrophy, cancer charities

The ClubCorp Charity Classic, during which more than 150 ClubCorp golf and sports clubs opened their doors to the public to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary, recently raised more than $1.6 million. Proceeds will be divided and donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Augie's Quest, The PGA Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and ClubCorp's Employee Partners Care Foundation.

ClubCorp and its affiliates own or operate nearly 160 golf courses, country clubs, private business and I sports clubs, and resorts.
