High-end Nobu chain said poised for catering debut

NEW YORK -- The high-end Japanese fusion restaurant chain Nobu reportedly is poised to debut a catering operation called Nomatic Nobu in January at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah

Nomatic Nobu is said to be discussing a possible role catering for the Cannes Film Festival in France and the U.S. Open tennis tournament at Flushing Meadows in the New York City borough of Queens.

The 17-unit Nobu group is owned and operated by Drew Nieporent's Myriad Restaurant Group in partnership with chef-restaurateur Nobu Matsuhisa, actor Robert De Niro, producer Meir Teper and Richard Notar, who reportedly would head up the catering venture.
