NEWTOWN, PA. -- The Rose Group, a local Applebee's franchisee, joined forces with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting childhood cancer, to raise money and awareness. Applebee's pledged $300,000 to the nonprofit group and ultimately raised $358,229 from sales of $5 paper lemons and glasses of lemonade.
