Offended patron wants no such thing as a free naked lunch

Nation's Restaurant News,  Oct 29, 2007  by Elissa Elan

GREENVILLE, MAINE -- The Naked Lunch is about to be banned.

According to the Associated Press, at the Black Frog Restaurant here, anyone willing to jump off the eatery's dock, into Moosehead Lake, wins a Skinny Dip sandwich, sliced prime rib on a baguette roll at no charge. Restaurant owner Leigh Turner said the three-year-old offer is a pretty popular one with two to three guests taking part in the promotion each week. Only one patron has complained, so town officials are now looking into the matter.

Turner said that if asked he would end the offer, but added that the skinny dipping "was typically done at night, no frontal nudity was exposed to customers and a towel was readily available."

"Most everyone applauded," he added.
