Sodexho begins renovation at military base in Miramar, Calif

GAITHERSBURG, MD. -- Sodexho said it had begun a $2.7-million renovation of the foodservice facilities at the Marine Corps Air Station in Miramar, Calif., one month after it began managing foodservice on the 10,000-personnel base.

Bob Durrant, Sodexho's general manager for retail-food concepts at the base, said the renovations would focus on the Miramar Exchange Food Court and the Flight Line Food Court and should be finished by the end of 2003.

He added that plans call for the addition of such national brands as, Starbucks, Freshens Smoothies, KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. Sodexho concepts will include Sky Ranch Grill and Cafe la Carte.
