Nation's Restaurant News,  Oct 15, 2007

> WASHINGTON -- Au Bon Pain, the 200-unit bakery-cafe chain, has opened a catering facility in Washington, D.C., that will serve as a central commissary. It will provide baked goods for smaller Au Bon Pain outlets and service catered events of up to 5,000 guests. Officials of the Boston-based company expect the 4,500-square foot catering operation to boost sales in the Washington area up to 25 percent next year.
