Massachusetts restaurants to nominate best employees

SOUTHBOROUGH, MASS. -- The Massachusetts Restaurant Association is accepting nominations for outstanding hourly employees through Nov. 1 for its first-ever Stars of the Industry event to be held next spring.

A restaurant may nominate one employee in as many as three categories, including bartender, buser, cook, cashier/counter, dishwasher, host/hostess, prep person, server and "unsung hero."

Three finalists in each category will receive two complimentary tickets to the gala event March 10 at Lombardo's restaurant in Randolph, Mass. Winners, who will be announced then, will receive $250 and a trophy. Applications can be downloaded from the MRA website: www.marestaurantassoc.org.
