David Guas is leaving his position as executive pastry chef for Passion Food Hospitality in Washington, D.C., which operates DC Coast, Ceiba, Acadiana and TenPenh restaurants, to open a consulting company called DamnGoodSweet Consulting Group. Replacing him at DC Coast is Lauren Whitledge, who has been Guas' assistant there for the past year.

Norman Messer, who has been running the pastry kitchen at TenPenh, will also be responsible for desserts at Ceiba. Chris Hutcheson, recently the pastry chef at Leopold, also in Washington, will be the pastry chef at Acadiana ...
