4,500 Wendy's units debut Twisted Frosty with mix-ins

DUBLIN, OHIO -- Nearly 4,500 branches of the Wendy's chain have begun offering its popular Frosty treat with mix-ins. The Twisted Frosty can be had with either M&Ms or Oreo cookie pieces mixed in.

The Frosty had been offered only in chocolate until last year, when Wendy's introduced a vanilla variety. Earlier this year, the Wendy's units in some markets also added Frosty Floats--a Frosty mixed with root beer or other sodas.

Wendy's International, based here, is operator or franchisor of more than 6,700 Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers units worldwide.
