AUSTIN, MINN. -- Hormel Food Corp. announced four executive promotions. Gary Ray, formerly executive vice president of refrigerated products, was named president of protein businesses. In his new post, Ray will oversee all of Hormel Foods' protein businesses, including Hormel Foods refrigerated products, Jennie-O Turkey Store and Farmer John.
In addition, Steven Binder, group vice president of foodservice, succeeds Ray as group vice president of Hormel Foods refrigerated products. Binder takes on broader responsibilities for Hormel's refrigerated products operations.
Thomas Day, vice president of foodservice, was named senior vice president of foodservice. He is responsible for all Hormel Foods foodservice sales and marketing functions.
Deanna Brady, foodservice regional sales manager for the West, was named vice president of foodservices sales. She is responsible for all of the Hormel Foods' foodservice sales force. She reports to Day.
Jeffrey Ettinger, chairman of the board, president and chief executive, said, "We are confident that this new structure will provide greater focus, fresh perspective and enhanced coordination across the company's diverse protein businesses."
