Cleveland Range grows production facility, test center

Nation's Restaurant News,  August 20, 2007

CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Range is expanding its production capacity and the state-of-the-art culinary demonstration and test center at its headquarters and main production facility here. The initiatives will add more than 40,000 square feet of space by November.

"We are expanding our facility to handle immediate capacity needs created by the success of our Convotherm by Cleveland combi ovens," said Rick Cutler, president of Cleveland Range. "It also allows us to accommodate the dramatic forecasted growth in the North American combi oven/steamer market in the years ahead."

Cleveland Range LLC, an Enodis company, was founded in 1922 and is a leading manufacturer of commercial steam-cooking equipment.

The company offers complete lines of convection and pressure steamers, steam-jacketed kettles, tilting skillets/braising pans, combi ovens, rotisseries, and cook-chill systems.

In other news, Cleveland has introduced a gas-operated version of its SteamChef boilerless convection steamers in three- and six-pan models.

The new gas varieties offer a high-speed gas convection system and an open-style 1.5-gallon water reservoir for easy cleaning, capacity for either three or six 12-inch by 20-inch by 2.5-inch-deep steam-table pans, a fan-forced KleanShield cooking compartment designed to automatically collect and remove waste, SureCook compartment controls that automatically adjust cooking time based on product volume, and automatic water-level controls that eliminate the need for refilling and monitoring during cooking.
