Chick-fil-A encourages kids to pose with a cow

Nation's Restaurant News,  July 23, 2007

ATLANTA -- Chick-fil-A has launched an online "Show us the Cow" photo contest for kids in partnership with Spot What! children's books.

The chain, which has more than 1,300 units in 17 states, is encouraging children ages 10 and younger to work with adults to submit creative photos of themselves posing with an "Eat Mor Chikin" cow, which can be a stuffed toy or a paper cutout. Photos can be uploaded to a contest website, where visitors will be able to vote for their favorites. The grand-prize winner will receive a $1,000 U.S. savings bond, a catered party for his or her classroom, free Chick-fil-A kid's meals for a year and a digital camera.

The contest is being promoted on the inside back cover of four Spot What! book titles available during the summer with the purchase of a kid's meal. The promotion will run through Sept. 30.
