DQ to standardize hot dogs via $2-item intro

Nation's Restaurant News,  June 25, 2007

MINNEAPOLIS -- Dairy Queen, which sold more than 30 million hot dogs of varying kinds in 2005, plans to standardize that item with the July 1 rollout of a new, all-beef version at domestic branches of the chain and its more upscale variant system, DQ Grill & Chill.

The new hot dog will be priced at $2, franchisor International Dairy Queen Inc. said.
