Nation's Restaurant News, June 25, 2007
DALLAS -- Pizza Hut has extended online-ordering capabilities to nearly all of the chain's 6,200 U.S. restaurants. The company also said it had re-designed its website, www.pizzahut.com, to make online ordering easier.
Customers enter profile information, which Pizza Hut uses to tailor special offers, menus, coupons and prices specific to the patrons' geographic areas. Online purchasers also can save their favorite orders, which can be reordered with one click.
Pizza Hut was a pioneer in online ordering, starting in 1994 in the Santa Cruz, Calif., market. The Yum! Brands Inc. division said online orders have grown six-fold in the past three years.
