Sysco names DeLaney executive vp, CFO

HOUSTON -- Sysco Corp., based here, has promoted Bill DeLaney to the post of executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective July 1. John Stubblefield, who currently is filling those positions, said he would be retiring. Stubblefield has been with Sysco since 1984.

In other company news, J. Michael Dickson said he would serve as chairman of Sysco Food Services of Arizona until his retirement July 1. He was recently succeeded as president and chief executive by Donald W. Staley.

Richard Abbey has been named vice president of contract sales at Sysco Corp. He most recently served as assistant vice president of contract sales.

In addition, Sysco promoted Christopher J. Shepardson to vice president of sourcing. He most recently was assistant vice president of merchandising services. Robert E. Howell has been promoted to vice president of sourcing and supply chain services from his position as assistant vice president of category operations. Brett Lindig is the new president and chief executive of Sysco Food Services of East Texas, a new facility under construction in Longview.
