Focus Brands vice president recognized for leadership

ATLANTA -- Focus Brands Inc., parent company of the Carvel Ice Cream, Cinnabon and Schlotzsky's Deli restaurant concepts and franchise operator of Seattle's Best Coffee outlets on military bases and in certain international markets, has presented its annual leadership award to Mike Shattuck, the company's vice president of international operations.

Shattuck oversees the Atlanta-based company's international franchise business, which comprises more than 480 units in 33 countries.

He recently managed the expansion of Carvel Ice Cream locations in Aruba, Jordan, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia and South Africa. He also will be responsible for growing the Schlotzsky's brand abroad.
