INDIANAPOLIS -- Steak n Shake Co. has switched to trans-fat-free frying oil in all 478 of its namesake casual-dining restaurants in 19 states. The company said it would seek replacement products that don't contain trans fats over the next few months. Currently, Steak n Shake's signature Steakburgers and milk shakes have no artificial trans fats, the company said.
