Thai restaurant mines new sources for culinary 'delights'

Nation's Restaurant News,  May 27, 2002

RAYGONG, THAILAND -- With restaurant menus becoming more eclectic, it is becoming more difficult for an eatery to be unique.

But give Manit Kadmaidee an "A" for effort. Kadmaidee owns Shock Legend, which serves foods that slither and slink.

The menu includes lizard, gecko, scorpion and toad. Kadmaidee, who told a local newspaper that "they say fried lizard tastes like shrimp while toad and gecko taste like chicken," thinks his restaurant will be a hit.
