Los ANGELES -- Amid preparations for a branch debut here in June, Pink Taco LLC, owner of two high-volume contemporary Mexican restaurants in Las Vegas and Scottsdale, Ariz., has hired Blake Rudman as president.
He formerly was director of new concept development for Real Mex Restaurants, the industry's largest Mexican casual-dining operator, where he helped expand the El Torito Grill concept.
In addition, Los Angeles-based Pink Taco named Nathan Slattery executive chef. Heformerly was executive chef for New York-based Rosa Mexicano restaurants.
Pink Taco, which was founded by Hard Rock Cafe co-founder Peter Morton, is now led by his son, Harry Morton, as the budding chain's chief executive. The company has indicated that its first two locations are generating annualized sales totaling nearly $14 million.
