ATLANTA -- The Research Chefs Association, based here, has selected Stephen Kalil, director of culinary innovation and executive chef of Chili's Grill & Bar, to be its president.
The vice president is Janet Carver, culinary group leader for National Starch Food Innovation. Bill Hahne, chef-culinologist of First Choice Ingredients, is treasurer. The secretary is Harry Crane, executive chef and Convenient Meals Group manager at Kraft Foods Global.
Kalil replaces John Folse, owner of John Folse & Company.
Also on the board are Steve Bonasia, corporate chef of Sanderson Farms; Michael Cheng, associate professor at Southwest Minnesota State University; Lori Daniel, chief inspiration officer and chef of Two Chefs on a Roll; Bob Davis, corporate executive chef at Max & Erma's Restaurants Inc.; Charles Hayes, corporate executive chef and senior field manager at Sara Lee Food Service; R. Douglas Martinides, vice president of culinary development at Aramark Innovative Dining Solutions; Thomas Sadler of Hurricane Grill & Wings; Steve Schimoler, president of Rolling Fire Enterprises; Terry Van Winkle, vice president of TIC Gums, Inc.; and Brian Yager, culinary R&D manager for Archer Daniels Midland.
