SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Denny's Inc. has appointed Mark Chmiel to the new position of senior vice president of concept innovation.
He will be responsible for managing projects designed to drive sales and evolve the Denny's trademark in new business categories. Denny's Inc. owns 517 restaurants and franchises 1,028 units of the chain to other operators.
Chmiel has more than 25 years of industry experience, most recently as chief marketing strategist for Fresh Enterprises, the former Baja Fresh Mexican Grill division of Wendy's International Inc.
