2nd Bennigan's in Panama opens on canal causeway

PLANO, TEXAS -- Bennigan's Grill & Tavern, the 310-unit division of Metromedia Restaurant Group based here, has added a second franchised unit in Panama, on the causeway to the Panama Canal.

The restaurant, owned by Extreme Planet, is the 52nd international Bennigan's branch. Extreme Planet also owns the downtown Panama City location.

Eric Taylor, Bennigan's senior vice president of worldwide franchise operations, said the new unit brings "the Bennigan's brand to one of the busiest traffic points in the entire world."
