Cocktail website aims to connect spirit makers, pourers around the world with weekly bulletin

Nation's Restaurant News,  April 28, 2008

ArdentSpirits.com, a website devoted to cocktail education and appreciation, offers subscriptions to its Weekly Worldwide Bartender Bulletin, which provides a direct link between bartenders and global spirits companies.

For those companies, the bulletin provides access to hundreds of elite bartenders, while offering bartenders news of employment opportunities, cocktail competitions, tasting events and classes and courses in mixology and related fields. In addition, bars and restaurants can use the bulletin to advertise job openings.

Ardent Spirits, established in 1999, is run by Gary Regan, Mardee Haidin Regan and Jonathan Pogash.

"I think that the Bulletin is much needed right now" says Pogash, the publication's editor-in-chief. "Bartenders are always looking for new opportunities, and that's exactly what we're bringing to them in the bulletin."

The bulletin is an offshoot of the site's Worldwide Bartender Database, which includes information on some 1,000 hospitality industry professionals from the United States and as far away asTurkey and Peru.
