Carlson employees honored for achievements, contributions

CARROLLTON, TEXAS -- Five individual employees and two employee teams from Carlson Restaurants Worldwide Inc., based here, were recently honored for their career achievements and contributions to the company, which operates or franchises more than 1,000 casual restaurants under the T.G.I. Friday's and Pick Up Stix brands.

Marilyn Carlson, chairman of the board of the Minneapolis-based parent company, Carlson, presented the employees with The Carlson Fellows award and the Order of the Golden Rose.

Bob Rycroft, vice president of strategic business development, received the Carlson Fellow for Stewardship. Amy Freshwater, vice president of communication and public relations, was given the Carlson Fellow for Creativity and Innovation. Marianna Berg, general manager, T.G.I. Friday's in Humble, Texas, was honored with the Carlson Fellow for Sales Achievement. Recipients of the Order of the Golden Rose were Marty Ritson, director of international operations; and Gary Rumpp, general manager, T.G.I. Friday's, Dearborn, Mich.

Team winners were the T.G.I. Friday's Right Portion, Right Price Team, including Amy Freshwater, Rebecca Sieg, senior director of brand marketing for T.G.I. Friday's USA, and Scott Randolph, senior director of culinary, research and development for T.G.I. Friday's USA; and the International Development Team, headed by John Neitzel, president and chief operating officer for the international division.
