Hobart Center to award $5k 'eco-friendly' grant

CINCINNATI -- Foodservice equipment manufacturer Hobart, through its Center for Foodservice Sustainability, is awarding a $5,000 grant to the individual or company judged to have the best-executed foodservice or food retail sustainability project of the year.

Submissions currently are being accepted. All entries must consist of case studies demonstrating how the nominated program addresses the challenges of sustainability, including the reduction of energy and water consumption, a decrease of wastewater or solid waste, or the implementation of farm-to-fork programs. The case studies, which will be reviewed by HCFS Fellows, should be composed of 10 or fewer pages and must be received no later than Aug. 29, at 5 p.m.
