Nation's Restaurant News,  March 17, 2008

ATLANTA -- The Arby's Foundation, a nonprofit fundraising organization established by Arby's more than 20 years ago, has awarded $460,000 to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and $200,000 in grants to other organizations.

"The Arby's Foundation is committed to supporting mentoring programs that help young people achieve their dreams," said Greg Hawkins, senior vice president for community partnership at the Arby's Foundation. "These grant dollars will significantly increase the ability of our charity partners to provide leadership, education and mentoring opportunities for America's youth."

Since its inception in 1986, the Arby's Foundation has raised more than $29 million through Arby's Charity Tour events, in-store fundraising and community events to support youth education and mentoring initiatives.
