IHOP's National Pancake Day fundraisers nets donations for children's miracle network

Nation's Restaurant News,  March 17, 2008

GLENDALE, CALIF. -- IHOP Corp. recently raised $867,000 to support the Children's Miracle Network and other charities.

To observe National Pancake Day on Feb. 12, IHOP guests enjoyed more than 1.6 million free buttermilk pancakes at the chain's more than 1,300 restaurants.

In lieu of paying for the pancakes, guests were asked to make donations to the charities.

Carolyn O'Keefe, IHOP's senior rice president of marketing, said, "Once again IHOP restaurants have demonstrated a strong commitment to give back to their communities, and we are proud of the efforts of all IHOP employees, franchisees and guests in making this day such a success"
