Gugliotta, Guy. "Health Concerns Grow Over Herbal Aids." - Brief Article

Skeptical Inquirer,  July, 2000  by Kendrick Frazier,  Jodi Chapman

Gugliotta, Guy. "Health Concerns Grow Over Herbal Aids." The Washington Post, March 19, 2000, P.A1. Gugliotta discusses the dangers Americans face by having a rapidly expanding alternative health industry, and a government that refuses to acknowledge the negative effects herbal aids are capable of.

"Mounting evidence suggests that increasing numbers of Americans are falling seriously ill or even dying after taking dietary supplements that promise everything from extra energy to sounder sleep," he says. The Washington Post conducted the first nationwide survey pertaining to the potential dangers herbal aids can have. It found the results disturbing.
