Website features new enhancements - Association News - Music Teachers National Association
American Music Teacher, Dec, 2002
What do Mozart's Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 23 in A Major and MTNA's website have in common?
The third movement from that piece is what visitors to the recently redesigned MTNA website (www.mtna.org) will hear--the concerto is part of the lively Flash introduction recently incorporated into the MTNA website.
The introduction, just one of the features on the association's redesigned website, gives visitors a choice of entering the MTNA Certification site (www.mtnacertification.org), the MTNA FOUNDATION (www.mtnafoundation.org) site or MTNA's main site.
"We believed it was time to give each of MTNA's corporations its own website," explains MTNA Executive Director Gary L. Ingle. "Although they are separate sites, they are linked and a person easily can move between the sites."
The FOUNDATION and Certification sites can be entered through the regular MTNA site, or a person can type in the direct web address for each specific site.
"We've received an overwhelmingly positive response to the redesigned site," he continues. "Several additional improvements now are in the planning stages."
Among the most recent enhancements are downloadable State and Division President Handbooks and archived teaching tips.
A number of additions to the site are in the works; check frequently for new features and updates.
