Internships available: Arts Administration interns are sought by the Center for Photography at Woodstock. Training opportunities include producing workshops, publishing the Photography Quarterly magazine, implementing the gear-round visual arts exhibition series and maintaining the permanent archives and library. Internships available: The Media Loft offers internships in preparing work for galleries, film and video festivals, cable screenings and TV commercials. There is no stipend, but college credit is available and lunch is provided. Prior experience in at least some of the following areas is desirable: computers (especially Amiga), graphic design, basic black and white photography, basic video editing and basic film and/or audio production. Internships available: CEPA Photography Arts Gallery in Buffalo, NY, offers internships during the tall, spring and summer semesters, providing special opportunities for students to gain experience and earn college credit by working in a professional gallery setting. Internships available: Visual Studies Workshop offers unpaid internships to students and aspiring professionals within each of its six program areas: Afterimage, the journal of media arts and cultural criticism; VSW Research Center, whose collections range from contemporary and historic photographs, images and books, to the Independent Press Archive, an unparalleled collection of artists' books; VSW Gallery, which maintains and curates in-house and travelling exhibitions featuring contemporary photographers and media artists; VSW Media Center, which houses an extensive experimental and feature film/video archive, and film/video production facilities; VSW Press, which offers opportunities of assisting in print and Web site design to applicants with Macintosh Computer expertise, and maintains the VSW artist-in-residence program; VSW Arts Administration, which provides practical experience in the marketing and public relations facets of a non-profit arts center, with particular emphasis on the writing and resear ch of grants. VSW is a center for photography, visual books, independent video/film and electronic imaging whose educational programs include a Graduate Program in Visual Studies (in affiliation with SONY Brockport) and a Summer Institute. Internships are unpaid and usually based on a 15-20 hour work week for a minimum of three months. Course credit mug be arranged through the intern's college or graduate program.
