Cross Currents, Wntr, 2003 by Dennis Saleh
SHARD DENNIS SALEH Outside of town on the outskirts of a frown meaning's leaning propped in place by light that hangs upside-down Old worn transparency Clouded fragility How much less is there to say How much less is left perhaps not enough words to make a future come true Only silence like glass This moment lasts longer than the last The next cannot be imagined And then later there was no later And then one time there was no time And then at last there was no end
Dennis Saleh's poetry, prose, and artwork appear widely in magazines and anthologies. In 2002, he read from his poetry, and a novel-in-progress set in Ancient Egypt, at the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose, California.
