REGARDLESS OF WHICH AB EXERCISE you do, always adhere to good form: Curl your chest and pelvis as if you're trying to wrap them around a large ball. If you're performing a lower-ab movement, roll your pelvis up toward your chest; if you're performing an upper-ab movement, roll your chest toward your pelvis.

Bending your body at the waist without consciously curling your abs reduces the effectiveness of any midsection routine.
